1st “Principe Francesco Maria Ruspoli” Euro-Latin American Music Studies Prize

Judges’ decision, August 22th, 2014
The Scientific Board of the “Principe Francesco Maria Ruspoli” 6th International Competition evaluated the essays submitted by the competitors participating in the 1stPrincipe Francesco Maria Ruspoli Euro-Latin American Music Studies Prize, and the reports made available by the consultants. The Scientific Board, after carefully evaluating the essays, decided to award the Prize to José Manuel Izquierdo Koenig (Santiago, Chile), author of the essay “ Ilustración y contrailustración de un cuarteto arequipeño (o cómo escribir un yaraví en el estilo de Haydn)”. The winner will be awarded R$ 3.000,00, during the ceremony at the Biblioteca Mario de Andrade of São Paulo (Brasil), on September 5 2014. The Scientific Board declares that the essay is worth of publication in a volume of Miscellanea Ruspoli. Studi sulla musica dell’età barocca (ed. Giorgio Monari).
